Zumba Video Game
I was lucky enough to participate in the Best Buy release of the original Zumba Fitness video game for Kinect on the XBox 360 at the Mall of America, in Bloomington, Minnesota last year and let me tell you, it is amazing! The Zumba Fitness video game is available for Wii and Playstation and WILL give you a workout. This year, the Zumba Fitness 2 video game is also available for Wii. NEW: Z-Kickz Athletic Dance Shoes for Zumba by Zumba Fitness
All of my favorite athletic dance shoes for Zumba have been discontinued. First, it was the Nike Musique IV with the mesh upper. Then it was the Nike Huarache. I’ve tried regular running or cross-training shoes, but nothing feels right in Zumba class. What’s a Zumba lover like me supposed to do?
Zumba Fitness has an (expensive) new solution: Zumba Z-Kicks. According to the Zumba Shop:

I personally cannot afford to spend $75 USD on athletic shoes that I am only going to wear for Zumba. I used to find my Nike Musique and Nike Huarche on sale in stores or online for around $35 USD. $75 USD is out of my price range so I am going to wait and keep looking for a more affordable alternative.

2010 Olympics Apparel: Team USA vs. Team Canada
In the 2010 Olympic team winter apparel competition, Canada wins.
My boyfriend and I loved the knit hats Team USA wore as they walked out during the 2010 Olympics Opening Ceremony. The hats feature a winter scene in red and white with blue moose and tassels. The hats were designed by Ralph Lauren and cost $75.00. That’s right – 75 USD for a knit winter hat with moose on it. Even if it is Ralph Lauren, I’m not paying $75 for a stocking cap. Sorry America.
I also loved the mittens the Canadian Olympic team was wearing as they walked out during the opening ceremony. They are simple red mittens that say “Vancouver 2010″ in white on the back of the hand and have a white maple leaf on the palm of the hand. The Team Canada Olympic mittens are only $10 (Canadian $) at the Hudson Bay Company website. I’m American, but I will definitely buy the Team Canada mittens for 10 CAD. O Canada!
